Erin M. Underwood has recently completed her master's degree in Creative Writing with a focus on Popular Fiction from the University of Southern Maine's Stonecoast MFA program. In her spare time she is the Senior Administrative Assistant supporting the Executive Vice President, the Secretary, and the Board of Directors of the MIT Alumni Association, as well as a freelance grant writer.

Ms. Underwood holds an undergraduate degree from the Harvard University Extension School, and she currently lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts with her husband Tom and their two dogs.  Currently, she serves as the president of the Stonecoast Alumni Association.
