There’s a new Interstitial game in town – if we consider the world as one giant village, that is:
FINNISH WEIRD, the self-named “community of weird writers in Finland” is thriving, and producing stories that blur and bend genre boundaries with their unbridled flight of imagination. Sounds interstitial to us!
Their new online (and downloadable) publication introduces you to suomikumma, “Finnish Weird”, showcases a few of its bright stars, and also gives us a couple of short stories to read, with new downloadable books (in PDF or EPUB).
While published by the Helsinki Science Fiction Society, they are using the same kind of language the IAF does to describe interstitial fiction.
Let’s take a look, and see how we can support this kindred vision.
