From The IAF Board: Call For Treasurer
by Elizabeth | January 30th, 2009 |

We’re looking for a new Treasurer for the Interstitial Arts Foundation.  The duties are as follows:

  • Pay bills
  • Keep IAF books up to date
  • Reconcile bank account
  • Write formal thank-you notes to donors
  • Sign and return various Non-Profit forms to keep us in compliance with Massachusetts law
  • Post quarterly reports on IAF Yahoo Group

The ideal candidate is good at keeping up with regular small tasks, is organized, and can meet deadlines easily. The books are on QuickBooks, so reconciling the accounts is very easy once you know how. So are end-of-year reports, if you’ve kept up with the entering.

Support for the Treasurer includes IAF’s Administrative Assistant, Davey Snyder, and accountant Ginnine Cocuzza, a specialist in  who also prepares taxes.   Davey is in Massachusetts, and Ginnine is in Manhattan, but the treasurer could be anywhere.

Time investment is around 3 hours per month, plus a day’s work around tax time.  Knowing something about non-profits and taxes and such would be a plus, but not necessary.

If your skills are a match, or if you know of anyone who might like to get some experience with working for a non-profit, we’d love to hear from you!  Please contact Delia Sherman at cordsher - at - gmail - dot - com.
